1.Product description

  RS485 communication line in the general use of twisted pair can be, but in the higher requirements of the environment to use with shielding layer of twisted pair cable. When RS485 communication line is used, for a specific transmission line, the length of the cable between the host (call test equipment) and the meter is inversely proportional to the baud rate of data signal transmission; This length is mainly affected by signal distortion and noise. Theoretically, the transmission distance of RS485 communication cable can reach 1200 meters, but the transmission distance in practical application is less than 1200 meters, and the specific length is affected by the surrounding environment.

I: Conductor: multi stranded tin plated copper wire, 7 pieces per share, each conductor wire diameter of 0.30mm, a total of four conductors, outer diameter: 0.91 +/ -0.03mm.

II: Insulation: solid core PE insulation, outer diameter: 1.90 +/ -0.03mm.

III: Shielding: aluminum foil shielding.

IV: Drainage wire: multi stranded tin plated copper network wire, 7 pieces per share, each conductor wire diameter of 0.30mm, a total of one strand, outer diameter: 0.91 +/ -0.03mm.

VI: Second shielding: aluminum magnesium braided mesh shielding, coverage of 55%.

VII:  Inner sheath: black PVC, OD: 8.0mm +/- 10%.

The tested RS485 communication line communication distance is about 1219M, the transmission rate is 10Mb/S, the transmission rate and the transmission distance are inversely proportional, under the transmission rate of 100Kb/S, to achieve the communication distance, if you need to transmit a longer distance, need to add 485 repeater. RS485 bus generally supports 32 nodes, if the use of special 485 chip, can reach 128 or 256 nodes, can support to 400 nodes.

Because RS485 interface composed of half duplex network, generally only two connections, so RS485 interface are shielded twisted-pair transmission.
